Overview:
CMAP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aviation School Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our aviation training programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation regulations, curriculum development, and student management.
Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive aviation training programs, including pilot, aircraft maintenance engineer, and air traffic control.
- Oversee curriculum development and revision to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify emerging trends and incorporate relevant skills and knowledge into training programs.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support and guidance.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the school’s budget and financial resources.
- Oversee recruitment and hiring of qualified instructors and staff.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, licensing requirements, and quality assurance standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to maintain program accreditation.
- Manage student enrollment, registration, and records.
- Oversee facilities maintenance and equipment upkeep.
Student Services:
- Provide guidance and support to students throughout their training journey.
- Address student concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Facilitate student placement and career services.
Industry Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, airlines, and aviation organizations.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to secure internships and job opportunities for students.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, business administration, or a related field.
- Advanced aviation certifications (e.g., pilot’s license, aircraft maintenance engineer license) preferred.
- Proven experience in aviation education or training management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in computer software applications, including student information systems and learning management systems.
Overview:
CMAP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class 4 Flight Instructor & Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing quality flight instruction to student pilots and managing flight operations as a dispatcher.
Responsibilities:
Flight Instructor:
- Deliver high-quality flight instruction to student pilots, covering a range of aircraft types and flight maneuvers.
- Prepare and conduct ground school sessions, covering aviation theory, regulations, and navigation.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate flight records and student progress reports.
- Assist with flight planning and coordinate flight schedules.
Dispatcher:
- Develop and manage flight schedules to optimize aircraft utilization and instructor availability.
- Coordinate with air traffic control and other aviation authorities to obtain flight clearances.
- Monitor weather conditions and issue flight advisories to pilots.
- Manage aircraft maintenance and scheduling.
- Respond to flight emergencies and coordinate with relevant authorities.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 4 Flight Instructor Certificate issued by Transport Canada.
- Valid Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating.
- Significant flight experience on multi-engine aircraft.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.1
- Ability to handle stress and make quick decisions.
